Rob is the Public Safety Projector Coordinator for the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust. He has worked in public safety for more than 40 years, starting as volunteer firefighter when he was 18.

Rob served as a police officer, investigator and supervisor for the City of Prior Lake for 25 years before being appointed to the position of Chief Deputy for the Scott County Sheriffs’ Office. In both positions he worked closely with Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux tribal community and with their casino operations. 

After retirement he worked as a consultant on public safety projects including the construction of a regional fire and police training center, a 911center and for the City of St. Paul’s emergency management department during the Republican National Convention. He is a licensed police officer, certified emergency manager and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.

He is has been with the League of Minnesota Cities for six years.
