Theresia LeSueur is Director of the Montana Schools Unemployment Insurance Program (MTSUIP) offered by the Montana School Boards Association and Montana Association of School Business Officials. MTSUIP represents more than 240 school districts throughout Montana, providing unemployment claims assistance and tax administration and is the largest and most successful self-funded unemployment insurance program in the state of Montana. She has represented school employers in unemployment compensation hearings for more than 20 years.

Ms. LeSueur’s career in unemployment began in 1992 with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry, Unemployment Insurance Division, where she served in multiple capacities within the Division gaining knowledge of the program. In 1994, she transitioned to MTSUIP, beginning her career as a Customer Service Representative and was promoted to Director in 2007.

Leading many changes for MTSUIP, Ms. LeSueur has been involved with strategic planning, electronic wage reporting, electronic payments, ACH payments, testifying before the state legislature and specialized training in human resources.

Ms. LeSueur has served on the board of directors of SHRM Helena as the Certification Chair, and became certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) in 2000 and obtained her SHRM-CP in 2015.

Ms. LeSueur earned her MBA from Walden University in February, 2010.
